RESEARCH TECHNICIAN

A technician’s position, initially for 2 years but with a possibility of extension, is available June 1st 2023 in the Devos Lab to assist with the lab and field component of a large collaborative project to understand the effects of the microbiome on biomass sorghum productivity. The technician will help with the planting, sampling and sample processing, including RNA extractions and next-generation library preparation. The technician will be part of a dynamic and multicultural team conducting cutting-edge research on non-model plant species (http://research.franklin.uga.edu/devoslab/). 

Requirements: A BSc or MSc in Genetics, Plant Biology or equivalent topic; Strong molecular skills; A willingness to conduct field work.
