Graduate Research

Interested in Joining the Devos Lab?

Prospective students interested in conducting graduate studies in the Devos Lab are strongly encouraged to apply through the Integrated Plant Sciences portal. Students will rotate through three laboratories during their first semester, and chose a laboratory and graduate program at the end of the rotations. Students can be accepted in the Devos lab through four graduate programs, Plant Breeding, Genetics and Genomics, Plant Biology, Genetics and Bioinformatics.  Typical criteria for admission into the Devos lab are a high level of scientific curiosity, dedication to research (graduate study is not a 9 to 5 job!), a GPA of 3.5 or higher and a minimum GRE score of 310 (GRE scores are optional for admission to UGA graduate programs).  Non-native English speaking students also must show proficiency in the English language attested by the results of the TOEFL test.  Students who fulfill these criteria and are interested in joining the Devos lab are encouraged to contact Professor Katrien M. Devos.
